Here in Texas, Wolf® Brand Chili is a meal in itself. You really don’t need to add anything to it. It is a deliciously bold and flavorful one-dish meal. I was excited to be asked to talk about it because it’s a trusted staple in our home.

Wolf Brand Chili Jambalaya

Wolf® Brand Chili started in Texas and only makes chili. Nothing else. Chili is what the brand knows and has perfected the blending of flavors and Texas-style seasonings. It’s been a family-trusted brand for as long as I can remember in our home. In fact, Wolf® Brand Chili is the base of my absolute favorite meal: Tex-Mex Cheese Enchiladas.

When we don’t have time to cook cheese enchiladas, we have a second favorite that the kids even ask for. Colby and I like that the recipe with chili is an easy one. You know, a quick dinner idea for those cold nights where you need a hearty meal in less time. That is what lead us to this one-dish canned chili supper.

Wolf Brand Chili Jambalaya

Back in school, I remember having a Mexican Jambalaya. At least that is what the menu called it. Colby and I wanted to recreate a simple version of the lunchtime dish so we tried our best. We came up with our own version of jambalaya with Fritos and chili that is still a favorite in our family.

Ingredients:

  • Wolf® Brand Chili (we prefer chili with no beans)
  • white rice
  • cheddar cheese, shredded
  • Frito corn chips
  • onions, optional
  • chives, optional

Directions:

  1. Boil water for rice. Cook per instructions until done. Drain and set aside.
  2. Warm Wolf® Brand Chili to desired eating temperature.
  3. Add rice to a bowl and pour chili over. Top with cheese, onions and corn chips based on personal tastes.
  4. Serve and enjoy!

See how easy that is? Dinner can be on the table and ready to eat in under 15 minutes depending on how fast the rice cooks for you. Wolf® Brand Chili can also be a delicious addition to any of your home-cooked favorites such Frito Chili Pie, Mac ‘N Cheese and Taco Pizza. There are so many great chili dinner ideas.
