Disney Junior Miles from Tomorrowland party

Miles from Tomorrowland

Inspired by the Miles from Tomorrowland: Space Missions, we begin to brainstorm ideas to incorporate space into our party. We talked about words that we knew that related to the stars and space, as well as some of Miles’ favorite catchphrases. Once we had our “words” we were firing off ideas left and right. There were so many great party foods we could use so we voted on the ones that sounded the best. The party preparations began and we could not wait to share with our friends.

When the day arrived, the girls were amused by seeing their friends suited up in the space helmets and Cosmic Explorer badges from our digital party kit. It was a great way to get the kids completely into stellar party moods and really set the tone for the afternoon. Plus, they were super easy and made the theme come even more alive for each of our party guests.

In addition to the bit of dress up available, we also made sure there was plenty for our friends to eat and drink while they were in outer space.

Miles from Tomorrowland Space Missions rocket fuel

Because we wanted to match Miles’ suit and have a fabulous drink, we decide blue Gatorade made an excellent “rocket fuel.” Our guests could fuel up and be ready for the next mission in no time at our hydration station.

Miles from Tomorrowland superstellar star sandwiches

We also knew that keeping our little Cosmic Explorers well fed was also essential. There were plenty of blastastic snack options available to suit everyone’s taste.

Superstellar Star Sandwiches

The Superstellar Star Sandwiches were a big hit with the kids… and super easy to make. We simply used a star cookie cutter to cut stars out of both cheese slices and turkey, then stacked crackers nearby. The kids knew exactly how to build their star sandwiches. Smart little explorers for sure!

Moon Rocks candy bark

In addition to the sandwiches, Star Crunch treats and Moon Rocks (candy bark) often found their way into the black holes known as the kids’ stomachs. Both spaceships holding those treats were invaded and taken over by kid-sized hands.

Miles from Tomorrowland Blodger Cupcakes

Speaking of spaceships, aliens also took over areas of our serving table. Using a white cake mix and whipped frosting, we added a little coloring to help create Blodger Cupcakes. Topping the lime green blob off with a pair of eyes made for a tasty party snack.

A few other galactic goodies kept the kids happy as we worked on completing a variety of Space Missions… including watching a special Miles from Tomorrowland DVD included in our party pack. But our missions didn’t end there. While some Cosmic Explorers chose to draw a robot friend, others worked on creating their own toilet paper roll spaceship. Still others made a Planet Mobile to take home and hang in their room. No matter which space mission they chose, each of the kids enjoyed the time spent creating and learning!

Upon leaving, we made sure each guest remembered to submit their Space Mission work for a chance to win. That’s right… your family could win the Superstellar Blast Off Experience, including a rocket launch, a VIP trip to the Kennedy Space Center, and a 3D printer with your submission! Simply complete a Miles From Tomorrowland space mission activity with your kids and upload it for a chance to win. Good luck!
