Just because we homeschool, it doesn’t mean that we don’t have many of the same items on our back-to-school lists for the kids. From buying school supplies to capturing those first day outfits, we still have to get the kids and the house ready for learning. And, because we don’t stay huddled in our house all day, every day, as some may think, we have to work on staying healthy as well.
Back to School with CVS
This past week, we took not only the girls, but ourselves too, to our local MinuteClinic® to take care of a few basic needs. In addition to offering sports physical, the MinuteClinic also offers a general wellness exam ideal for preparing to head back to school. Plus, with cold and flu season just ahead, CVS Pharmacy’s exclusive health and wellness line, CVS Health, offers a variety of innovative and great quality over-the-counter products at an affordable price – from cold and flu essentials, to allergy relief, to vitamins and supplements, to bandages, hand sanitizers and more. You can stock up the medicine cabinet and be well prepped for all those new classroom germs.
Not to mention, with a long checklist, you may discover that the CVS Pharmacy App can be a great time-saver. The mobile app allows you to save both time and money:
- ExtraCare Rewards program: Automatically receive 2% back (plus rewards) in ExtraBucks Rewards for every purchase, plus you can also receive personalized offers and app-only deals.
- Curbside pickup: Order from thousands of non-prescription items to skip the line and forget the hassle of in-store shopping.
- CVS Pay: Bring payments, prescription management, and your ExtraCare loyalty account together with one quick scan at checkout.
- CVS Photo: Print pictures for same-day pickup. In fact, you can print from your camera roll, CVS Photo account, or Facebook account with a few taps of a finger.
During our visit last week, we had to get TB Tests done in order to satisfy a requirement for our foster license. We were able to easily make our appointments on the app, check in via the MinuteClinic kiosk, and get our shots and reads done by friendly medical professionals. We are now one step closer to our license and CVS will continue to play a part in keeping our family, and our incoming foster children, well. Not to mention, with their out-of-pocket pricing, it works well with our family’s health budget.
