The Berenstain Bears and the Easter Story

The Berenstain Bears and the Easter Story

I have been an avid reader since I was 4 years old. My mom taught me to read very early on and it became one of my favorite pastimes.

To this day, I still read as often as I can. One of my first series of books was The Berenstain Bears.

Now, as a mom, I am able to pass the joy of reading onto my children; and continue to introduce them to some of my childhood favorites, such as The Berenstain Bears.

The Berenstain Bears and the Easter Story

The Berenstain Bears

Stan and Jan Berenstain published the first Berenstain Bears book in 1962, and the series has gone on to capture the hearts and minds of children across generations and across the globe.

In the 50+ years since “The Big Honey Hunt,” the Bear family has grown from three to five members; the Berenstain Bears have been translated into over a dozen languages; and over 300 million books have been sold worldwide.

The Berenstain Bears Easter

I loved learning that The Berenstain Bears and the Easter Story was written by Jan and their son Mike Berenstain.

After growing up watching his parents write about and draw these adorable bears, Mike eventually started writing about and drawing them too!

Just as I am able to pass down the stories from my childhood with my children, Mike is continuing to share the stories his parents have shared for generations.

The Bear cubs are candy-crazy this Easter! But Missus Ursula and some Sunday school students tell the cubs about Jesus’s resurrection and show them that salvation is much sweeter than candy! Includes a sheet of colorful stickers!

In this holiday book for kids ages 4-7, The Berenstain Bears share the Easter Story in a way that’s easy for kids to understand.

During Sunday School, Brother, Sister, and Honey Bear watch a play entitled, “The Easter Story.”

The play teaches the children about the miracles Jesus performed, His betrayal and inevitable death on the cross, as well as His glorious resurrection three days later.

Plus, the book includes stickers portraying pieces of the story, in addition to discussion questions at the end of the story.
