Ways to Enjoy Life More

Finding your bliss is the first step to enjoying life more. But what else can be done to enjoy life?

Here’s a list of things you can do to get the most out of life.

  1. Love more. Falling in love is such an enjoyable time. Falling deeply in love with the same person over and over again will bring you a lifetime of happiness. So make it a point to be loving to your significant other as often as you can.
  2. Get out more. Leave the house, go outside and explore nature.
  3. Enjoy good food. Really savor the food and all it has to offer. Not just the nutrients, but the aroma and the texture of it.
  4. Be adventurous. Sometimes it’s good to take risks and step out of your comfort zone. Do something you wouldn’t normally do. Be bold about it and courageous.
  5. Get excited about things. Allow yourself to feel excitement when you are excited. You worked hard to get there so take the time to enjoy it and let others enjoy it with you.
  6. Do what you love. If you’re really, truly hating your career then make it your adventure to find a new one. It’s risky, but often times big risks yield big rewards.
  7. Change your environment. It doesn’t have to be big like a move to another state or anything, but really just find a way to do your work somewhere else if you can. Sitting in the same place day after day doing the same thing is not what joyful things are made of. So take your work outdoors for a little change of scenery if possible. Offer to get up and do a coffee run for the office.
  8. Unplug. We live in a day and age where we are in constant contact with some sort of electronic device. Every once in a while, turn off the phone, turn off the TV, turn off the computer and get back to a time where you weren’t always in constant contact with the world.
  9. Make time for travel. See what the world has to offer. There’s so much beyond our own four walls so to speak, so get out there and see it all.
  10. Exercise. This is not only good for the body, but it’s good for the soul too. It’s amazing how refreshed you can feel after a good workout. It doesn’t have to mean going to the gym, either. Take up a sport you have always enjoying. Swimming, running, baseball — just find that sport you enjoy and go make it happen.
  11. Be romantic. Take a romantic stroll on the beach or kiss in the rain.
  12. Face your fears. Don’t run from them; face your problems head on and deal with them. You’ll never be happy with a negative fearful cloud hanging over your head.
  13. Help others. Volunteering and doing things for others is such a joyful experience. The gratitude you get from those in need who you have helped —there’s just nothing like it.
  14. Play. Play like you did when you were a child. Play with kids. Have you ever noticed how happy kids are most of the time? We mean, aside from when they don’t get their way, they are a pretty happy-go-lucky bunch. Get back to that time; it’s worth it.
  15. Do nothing. Sometimes we just need to just be with our own thoughts. We’re so on the go all the time, so stop and just take a moment to enjoy everything you have and what’s around you.

This list could go on and on forever, but doing all of these things are a great start to getting more enjoyment out of life.
