Toilet Paper Roll Crafts

So the next time you’re looking for a fun activity to do with your kids, consider one of these toilet paper roll crafts.

From animals to airplanes, there’s something here for everyone.

1. Toilet Paper Roll Binoculars

Help your kids explore the great outdoors with their very own pair of toilet paper roll binoculars. All you need is two toilet paper rolls, some tape, and some string.

Cut a small hole in the center of each toilet paper roll and then tape the rolls together. Then, decorate the outside of the rolls however you like.

You can paint them, glue on paper or fabric, or even cover them in glitter. Once your binoculars are decorated, poke a small hole in the center of each half.

Tie a piece of string through the holes and voila! You’ve got your very own homemade binoculars.

2. Toilet Paper Roll Birdfeeder

Attract some feathered friends to your backyard with this easy-to-make toilet paper roll bird feeder.

Start by spreading some peanut butter all over the outside of the toilet paper roll. Then, roll the toilet paper roll in birdseed until it is evenly coated.

Once the toilet paper roll is coated in birdseed, make a small hole in the top and bottom of the roll to thread a string through to hang on a tree.

Toilet Paper Roll Flowers

3. Toilet Paper Roll Flowers

Bring some beauty to your home with these pretty toilet paper roll flowers. All you need is some construction paper, glue, and a toilet paper roll.

Cut the toilet paper roll into thin strips and then curl them into flowers. Glue the flowers onto some construction paper and you’re done!

4. Toilet Paper Roll Maracas

Make some noise with these homemade toilet paper roll maracas. All you need is two toilet paper rolls, some rice or beans, and some ribbon or string.

Fill each toilet paper roll with rice or beans, tie the ends shut, and then decorate the outside with ribbon or string. Now shake it up and enjoy the music!

5. Toilet Paper Roll Animals

Let your kids use their imaginations to create their own toilet paper roll animals. All you need is a toilet paper roll, some construction paper, scissors, and glue.

Have your kids cut the construction paper into different shapes and then glue them onto the toilet paper roll to create their own unique animals.

6. Toilet Paper Roll Stamps

This craft is not only fun, but it’s also practical. With some paint and a toilet paper roll, your kids can make their own stamps.

They can use them to stamp patterns on construction paper or to make their own wrapping paper.

First, cut the toilet paper rolls in half. You may need to cut some of the rolls in thirds if they are too big for your child to hold.

Next, have your child dip the toilet paper roll in paint. They can then stamp their design onto the paper.

Encourage your child to try different patterns and designs. They can make stripes, dots, or whatever they can imagine.

This is also a great activity for developing fine motor skills and creative thinking.

7. Toilet Paper Roll Jewelry

Your kids can make their own unique jewelry with toilet paper rolls. All you need is some paint, toilet paper rolls, and some string or ribbon.

Paint the toilet paper rolls in any design you like and then string them together to create beautiful bracelets, necklaces, or even anklets.

8. Toilet Paper Roll Puppets

With a little imagination, toilet paper rolls can be turned into all sorts of different puppets.

To make puppets, simply cut the toilet paper rolls in half and decorate them to look like people or animals by adding features like googly eyes, a nose, and a mouth.

They can even add strings to become marionettes. Either way, your kids will love putting on their own puppet show!

9. Toilet Paper Roll Racecars

These racecars are a blast to make and play with. To make a toilet paper roll racecar, you will need a toilet paper roll, a piece of cardstock, a pen or pencil, scissors, and tape.

First, use a pen or pencil to trace a simple car shape onto the piece of cardstock.

Next, cut out the car shape, and then use the scissors to cut two small slits into the top of the toilet paper roll. These slits will be used to attach the wheels of the car.

Finally, use the tape to attach the cardstock car body to the toilet paper roll, and then your racecar is ready to race!

Toilet Paper Roll Advent Calendar

10. Toilet Paper Roll Advent Calendar

Get ready for Christmas with this unique advent calendar made from toilet paper rolls! To make a toilet paper roll advent calendar, cut 24 toilet paper rolls in half.

Glue each of the rolls onto a piece of cardboard — four to each row. Use a piece of cardboard to make a simple roof over the structure.

Once all the rolls are glued down, fill each one with small treats or notes. Then, using more toilet paper rolls (cut open and flattened) or cardboard, cut circles equal to the size of the rolls.

Clue a cover over each roll and top with the numbers 1 through 24. Decorate accordingly and hang the calendar on a wall or mantle as you count down to Christmas!

11. Toilet Paper Roll Wreaths

This is a really easy wreath to make and it is a great way to recycle those toilet paper rolls!

To make a toilet paper roll wreath, just cut the rolls into 1-2” sections and then bend each piece into a small circle.

Next, glue the edges together. Once all the pieces are glued together, glue them onto a wreath form.

Once you have your wreath shape, you can decorate it however you’d like! You could paint it, add some ribbon or fabric, or even add some holiday decorations.

12. Toilet Paper Roll Butterfly Finger Puppets

Pick out at least 2 different colors of construction paper: 1 for the body and 1 for the wings. Measure and cut the piece for the body. Cut and then cover with glue for adhering to the toilet paper roll.

Next, take the construction paper for the wings and fold it in hand. lining the palm up with the fold of the paper, trace the hand. After tracing around one hand, carefully cut around the hand outline leaving the fold intact.

Decorate the wings with crayons, stickers, glitter — whatever you may have handy to use. After decorating, add googly eyes to the body, if desired, and glue to the body with thumbs up to act as antennae to complete the Butterfly Hand Puppet!
