10 Summer Beach Party Ideas for Watching Disney’s Teen Beach Movie
Disclosure: I received Disney Channel “Teen Beach Movie” products in exchange for a post about the film. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.
Are you planning on having a summer beach party? How about plans for watching Disney Channel’s Teen Beach Movie? I know that my girls are ready to party as they sit and watch the movie when it premieres on July 19, 2013, at 8pm ET/PT on the Disney Channel. In fact, the girls have their party planned and will be watching it on the patio with a projector… and the rest of us.
Teen Beach Movie
Disney Channel is bringing back the “Family Movie Night” with the new Teen Beach Movie. This summer film will bridge the generational gap with a modern twist on classic favorite’s such as “Gidget“, “Grease“, and “Beach Blanket Bingo“.
“Teen Beach Movie” follows teen surfing sweethearts, Brady and McKenzie, who ride the last wave of summer together. That wave mysteriously takes them back in time into a classic beach party movie, “Wet Side Story.” There, it is surfers versus bikers for control of the beach hangout… and everyone spontaneously breaks into song and dance. Now, Brady and McKenzie must try to return to present day. But, their lives may be changed forever when they inadvertently alter the movie’s romantic storyline. The handsome surfer Tanner falls for McKenzie and biker girl Lela starts swooning for Brady.
The movie is geared towards tweens and their families, and my girls fall right into that category. Sending out a message about the importance of believing yourself and following your destiny, the movie showcases positive themes such as friendship and youth empowerment.
Teen Beach Movie stars Ross Lynch (star of Disney Channel’s Austin & Ally), Maia Mitchell (star of ABC Family’s The Fosters), Grace Phipps (ABC Family’s The Nine Lives of Chloe King), and Garrett Clayton (guest star of Disney Channel’s Shake It Up).
