As a homeschool family, we enjoy back to school season for a variety of “other” reasons. Our main one being the fact that when we venture out, there are less people. Field trips and vacations become part of our weekly norm. We believe the kids learn better when they can see and feel the lessons they are being taught. It’s just better when everyone else is in school because it means fewer crowds.
Staying Simply Balanced on Field Trips
Getting out more also means we have to stay stocked and ready for our field trips. A small cooler and bag of treats are perfect for trips to the museum or local park. No matter where we are headed, it typically means a few hours or more of our day. Packing snacks, such as Target’s Simply Balanced varieties, keeps the kids energized and fed between meals.
One Target run and we can find everything we need to prepare for our day. Each of the kids, and Colby, have their favorite treats. Colby always goes straight for the Simply Balanced Strawberry Fruit Grain Bars first. I can’t blame him though, especially when, using Target’s Cartwheel App, you can get 30% off. Saving money and satisfying your snack needs at the same time is the way to go.
As for the girls, their favorites consist of Simply Balanced Chocolate Chip Granola Bars and Organic Strawberry Fruit Snacks. I must admit, I sneak in as many of the fruit snacks as I can myself. Not only are they made with natural ingredients, but they also provide a full serving of fruit in every pouch. A great way to get in your daily servings while learning on the go.
Finally, it addition to a variety of other Simply Balanced foods, we always make sure to pack a cooler full of Simply Balanced Organic Fruit Punch Juice Boxes. The blend of organic apple, organic strawberry and organic orange juice is both tasty and good for you!
