Enjoying Nature in the Path to Play Challenge
Path to Play
Do you and your family enjoy getting outside to play? We spend almost all of our weekends outdoors in some way or another. Plus, as soon as my girls get home from school they grab a snack, do their homework, and then head out the door to play. They have neighborhood friends to ride bikes and scooters, play yard football, sidewalk chalk, and talk with. As long as they are outside they are normally having a good time.
That is why we decided to take the Rally to Recess Path to Play Challenge. Entering is simple. Participate in 1 to 6 of the challenges and then write a blog post or tweet about how you took part in the challenge. Make sure to use the appropriate hashtags and follow all of the contest rules. You can find the hashtags, as well as each of the 6 challenges, on the Path to Play pdf poster linked below.
The first step along the Path to Play is a Photo Challenge. In most parts of the country the leaves are turning colors and Fall is on its way. Here in Texas the leaves are still green on the trees and we were sweating in shorts in the back yard today. So, the challenge calls for a colorful creation of you and your child playing in the most beautiful scenery you can find. Well, since the leaves are not really turning colors yet, we believe the lake behind us is the most beautiful scenery in our neighborhood.
As the sunset reflects off the ripples of the water, the colors displayed are majestic and the environment is so sincere. We take walks around the lake often and enjoy listening to the stillness of the water. The girls typically ride their bikes and we pull Monkey in her wagon. The air is amazing and the atmosphere is perfect for winding down after a long day. Here are a few pictures from a recent walk. The “flowers” were about as colorful as we could get.
Join the challenge and submit your blog post or tweets to enter. Six Grand Prize winners will be randomly drawn around December 5, 2012 after the contest end date (November 30, 2012). Each winner will receive a gift certificate for a toy with a retail value of $160. Learn more by liking Danimals on Facebook or by following Dannon on Twitter. Good luck!
