5 Must Do Things in Puerto Rico

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Puerto Rico, The All-Star Island. All opinions are 100% mine.

With the crazy winter we have had this year, I am sure I am not the only one ready to escape to warmer weather. Relaxing on sunny beaches and burying my toes in the sand sounds like a perfect way to get over the winter blues. In fact, a trip to Puerto Rico, The All-Star Island sounds like an ideal island escape.

Puerto Rico

Did you know that Puerto Rico has over 270 miles of coastline and was featured as one of  the Top 10 Beaches from Travel Channel? This honor includes Flamenco Beach in Culebra which is often cited as one of the best beaches in the world. Plus, if you are traveling from the United States, you do not need a passport or currency converter. Just hop on a plane and you’re off to a tropical paradise.

While you’re there, be sure to check out the 5 must do things in Puerto Rico:

La Bestia

La Bestia uses a specially designed harness to soar through the air across 4,745 feet of terrain. Yes, my friends, it is one of the longest Zip Lines on Earth and can be found in Toro Verde.

Bioluminescence Bays

Bio bays are bodies of water that contain millions of micro-organisms, or dinoflagellates, that are able to generate an emerald green and ultramarine illumination in the water. Puerto Rico is home to three such bays and are easily reached by a kayak or boat-ride from our shores.

El Yunque

El Yunque is the only subtropical rainforest in the U.S. National Forest Service and you can climb to the clouds. It is one of Puerto Rico’s most visited destinations.

Camuy River Cave Park

This cave system features natural limestone caves and underground waterways that have carved out by the third-largest underground river in the world.

Castillo de San Felipe del Morro

El Morro is Old San Juan’s most recognizable landmark and you can learn more about the history of the island with a visit. It is called Puerto Rico’s “most picturesque military structure” and must be seen to be appreciated.

As you can see just from the 5 suggestions above, Puerto Rico is filled with world-class attractions that will turn any trip into a 5-star vacation story.

Live your own 5-star vacation story in Puerto Rico and put together your own “must-do” itinerary.
