HMK Experience Takes Card Giving to a New Level

We all know that Hallmark is synonymous with beautiful, creative cards. Now, Hallmark is introducing a new concept store called HMK. Colby and I recently visited the brand new location near us and were quite impressed with everything it had to offer. In fact, it was fabulous!

HMK store

HMK is a “boutique-style retail experience featuring home décor, kids and baby gifts, accessories, Hallmark greeting cards, gift wrap and more.” Although you come to expect cards of every genre from Hallmark, HMK takes card giving to a new level. HMK can also help you create beautiful gifts, cards and accessories, as well as discover something surprising and fun.

HMK store selection

As Colby and I walked around every crook and cranny of the store, we were delighted to find an array of gifts and crafted details in each corner. As a matter of fact, we noticed that the store even features handmade pieces from local artisans. The artist is highlighted along with their unique items and show their hometown pride and local support. It was a nice gesture to see, knowing that they are giving back to the local economy as well.

HMK Wayfinder

In addition to the local crafters, HMK has over 3,000 cards in the store each day. If you do not find the perfect card on the shelf, check the Wayfinder. This piece of technology allows you to sort through cards to find just the right one. There are only 1,000 cards on display and the rest are waiting to be discovered. Once you select a card, it pings a store associate and they deliver the card to you in the store.

Plus, if you can’t seem to find the right one already made, make one yourself! Customize your own card with pictures and text, then have it printed while you wait! There really is no reason why you should walk out of the store empty-handed.

HMK customizable storybooks

But as I mentioned, cards are not all they offer. Take a look at the other items you can find inside HMK:

  • Customizable Storybooks: Create personalized books for kids in your life. Change the lead character’s name and likeness, then have it printed and bound in a hardcover book to make the perfect gift.
  • Stationery:Love notes, grocery lists and thank-you notes seem to shine when you add something personal. Customize with monograms, messages or photos.
  • Silhouettes: Use a photo or pose for a timeless silhouette created by a Hallmark artist that can be framed or applied to customizable gifts throughout the store
  • Gift Ideas: They have preselected items throughout the store to mix and match to make stunning gifts. So you don’t have to worry about what goes with what, because they already know. (They did an excellent job of helping Colby and I pick out a Mother’s Day gift for my mom this way)

Plus, HMK offers services such as monograms, gift wrapping, and shipping. As well as HMK Specialists to help you find and create the perfect “expression of you” every time.

It was truly a unique experience. I even found the PERFECT card for a friend of mine going through a tough time… and in record time (for me). I am looking forward to going back soon. After all, every guest at the store gets a deliciously, warm cookie all wrapped and ready to be eaten!
