Celebrate Freedom – Decorate a Red, White, and Blue Tree

With the 4th of July upon us, have you stopped to ponder what exactly ‘Independence Day’ means to you?

The precise meaning of the word independence per the dictionary is “freedom from the control, influence, support, aid, or the like, of others.

I do suppose my initial thought when I hear “Independence Day” is definitely freedom. But with that liberty, I also believe opportunity follows.

The opportunity provides me the motivation to do more towards making the world around me a better place. After all, I believe if we all start in our homes then love can overflow out of our doors.

From helping a neighbor to serving the homeless, to creating something beautiful for others. It’s all opportunity.

Opportunity is given to us through the freedoms others have made sacrifices to protect. That is Independence Day for me.

It’s a wonderful holiday to celebrate with family and friends — and one we look forward to each year.

Red, White & Blue Tree

This year, we have a fabulous Alpine White Christmas Tree that we have adorned with a lively supply of red, white, and blue ornaments.

With a bit of fun and a lot of memories, we found a host of patriotic decorations to adorn the lush white foliage of our tree.

Additionally, the Worry-Free™ UL® – approved lights with multi-color changing LED options were the perfect background to our bold decorations.

Our free spirits and liberated style sense helped us create a star-spangled tree to share with our family and friends.

Our favorite holiday tradition involves having our guests over for barbecues and games.

Once the sun sets, it’s time to watch the fireworks over the lake as we enjoy the conversation over more treats.

As the “rocket’s red glare, the bombs bursting in air,” continue to play out overhead, our 4th of July Tree will illuminate the circle of family and friends we celebrate with.

The same people who continuously cheer us on with each opportunity and appreciate our freedom of expression.

The same people whom we celebrate as they maneuver through their own liberties.

It’s that understanding and respect that allows us all to coexist within the walls of our home. To be free in our own homes. THAT is Independence Day to me.
