What does it mean to you to be the “perfect Valentine“? Do you and your special someone have annual traditions? Colby and I work hard to fill each other’s love tanks year-round, not just on Valentine’s Day. But, I do take advantage of the holiday when it comes to watching romantic movies!
Countdown to Valentine’s Day
Romantic movies are my favorite genre and Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Valentine’s Day, featuring Anything for Love, is a great way to enjoy quality time with my husband. As we countdown to Valentine’s Day, these are just a few ways we can celebrate our love every day leading up to — and well beyond — the holiday.
- Leave love notes around in places where your significant other will find them when you’re not around.
- Give small gifts of admiration each day leading up to a more meaningful gift on Valentine’s Day.
- Make something special for your love that signifies or illustrates your relationship, or something unique about your journey together.
- Set out hints each day that lead up to a special romantic movie night on February 14 at 8pm CST with Anything for Love on the Hallmark Channel.
Once the special Date Night-In arrives, be well prepared to set the mood. Think outside the box and get creative. If the weather is nice and you have the ability, set up a projector for watching the movie under the stars. Or, go ahead and set up a picnic in front of the TV. A blanket and picnic basket full of tasty pre-made foods are perfect for a no-hassle dinner. Be sure to dress the part. A sundress and sports coat would be perfect picnic attire as you settle in for the movie. Don’t forget the dessert! After all, it can often be the most delightful part of any date night-in.
How do you make your Valentine feel special?
