Steam Clean Floors with Shark Steam & Spray Mop
When I am asked what my “high traffic” areas of my house are, I cannot come up with one. With 7 people running around here all day, they are all high traffic areas. But, since we all have to eat, the kitchen probably sees more foot traffic than most of the house. Being able to steam clean floors in that area of the house has been great!
Steam Clean Floors
It is truly remarkable seeing the difference a steam cleaner can make on your floors. Plus, even the kids do not mind using the Shark® Steam & Spray™ Mop. After a quick, 1-2-3 assembly by Colby, it was ready to use. I was intrigued by the fact that it used 4 AA batteries, as well as had a plug. Apparently the batteries are required for the spray function and make quick clean up easy. There is no reason to plug in… just grab your mop and go!
We decided the tile in the kitchen needed the ultra-absorbent washable pads rather than the disposable SaniFiber™ pads. After all, it is a large area and needed a good, overall cleaning. Afterwards, we could easily throw the pad into the washer and have it ready to go for the next time. Such a great idea and makes clean up much easier.
Our 8 year old was the lucky first one to clean the floors using the Shark Steam & Spray Mop. It was not only easy for her to understand and work, but it was also lightweight and incredibly smooth to maneuver. As Colby and I stood by for directing her, she quickly learned to spray and then mop each area. I think that other than the continuous flow of steam from the mop, she also enjoyed being able to spray the water. Personally, I liked the clean, shiny floors behind her as she went through the kitchen.
The 3 different modes of the mop make cleaning any area of our house a lot less challenging. The steam alone is the best way we have found to clean our hardwood floors with minimal effort. Whereas the spray gets those tough, stuck-on grime spots on the kitchen and bathroom floors. Not to mention, that can be done on batteries alone. Finally, the steam and spray functionalities together are the perfect cleaning combination. The steam helps break up the grime and the spray cleans it up. My kitchen floor has never looked so shiny and new.
Perhaps even more important, the Steam Energized Cleanser is non-toxic, biodegradable and safe around both kids and pets. Good to know since we have both and would like to keep everyone safe. Not to mention, being able to toss the disposable SaniFiber pads after cleaning the bathroom is pretty cool. I mean, it makes sense to me?! The fact that we can dispose of the pads after steam cleaning the floors behind a sick family members is super helpful as well. It can further help you keep your floors clean and germ free during flu season.
What is your biggest cleaning challenge with keeping clean floors?
As I mentioned above, our large, busy family keeps our home looking lived in. Good problem to have… and even better to find such a great solution with the Shark Steam and Spray Mop.
