As I was walking past the options with my daughters, we began to talk about which type of spread we wanted to use for our next recipe. There are honestly so many options and we talked about a few as we walked. Of course, we discussed the same ol’ recipes that we often use I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter! with… but wanted to try something new.
Since we have begun to live a healthier lifestyle, we were drawn to the fact that I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter! is made with 70% less saturated fat. As I thought about the creaminess of the I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter! and Country Crock® spreads, I sorted through the recipe book in my mind. I was searching for recipe inspiration. I thought about all of the usual sweets: cookies, muffins, pancakes, and brownies. And of course they had to be sweets. I have a sweet tooth that must be tended to. Yet the idea of buttered shrimp on the grill accompanied by a side of roasted potatoes sounds incredible as well. Perhaps the kids would enjoy a Hearty Veggie Frittata like the one shown below.
Recipe inspiration can come from anywhere. As I keep my tub of I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter! spread a bit longer in the refrigerator, I need to pick just one recipe. Do I go with something sweet or stick to mealtime entrees?
Luckily, I can easily run to Walmart and pick up more of the delicious soft spreads as needed. Both spreads are versatile enough to be used in making many home-cooked meals and treats. Whether I need a little or a lot, the convenience factor is there when I need it.
