Football Season is Upon Us
Here in Texas, football season is more than another sport to watch. When they say “everything is bigger” in Texas they most definitely mean the sports fans as well. Friday Night Lights take on a whole new meaning and some small towns shut down for high school football teams. We live 2 blocks from the local stadium and all the town’s traffic feeds into that stadium for home games. Football is a way of life for many.
As for professional football… well I live in North Dallas… keyword Dallas. So, even though I am not fond of them sometimes {total fair weather fan}, I do believe in supporting our home team. So, GO COWBOYS! I especially like that we have a hometown boy on the field this year: Cole Beasley. The 1st Wednesday night of this month is the season kick-off and we are ready!

Nougat and Caramel Inspired
My husband and I were discussing new recipes we could try for the upcoming tailgate season. We wanted something delicious, sweet, and easy to eat during a game. We thought about the things we already enjoy, as well as what flavors were in a SNICKERS® Brand NFL Mini: the inspiration behind our creative brainstorming. As we threw out ideas, we were inspired by both the nougat and caramel inside SNICKERS® Brand NFL Minis.
The creamy filling of a SNICKERS® Brand NFL Mini mixed with the delicious burst of caramel made out mouths water. But, we needed a recipe that would epitomize the nougat filling in a rich and creamy way. We then thought about a few of our favorite desserts and remembered how much we love the filling of our Italian Tiramisu. So, we took that filling base and changed a few things to come up with an incredibly smooth, amazingly flavorful dip we call Snickers ‘N Cream.

With just a few ingredients from Walmart and a little bit of time you can have a tantalizing dessert dip ready to serve at your next football watching party!

Snickers ‘N Cream Dessert Recipe
Ingredients
- 2 cups whipped topping
- 1 {8 oz} package cream cheese
- ¾ cup powdered sugar
- ½ cup caramel syrup
- 8 SNICKERS® Brand NFL Minis
- 1 box Vanilla wafers
Directions:
- Using an electric mixer, blend the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and whipped topping until creamy.
- Fold caramel syrup into mixture until well blended.

- Spoon dip into bowl or serving platter and top with additional caramel syrup (to taste), Snickers shavings, and finely chopped SNICKERS® Brand NFL Minis.
- Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.
- Serve with Vanilla wafers {or graham crackers or other cookie/snack of your choice}.
That is all there is to it! It was quick, easy and quite a hit at our house. The velvety caramel mixture spread over a crisp vanilla wafer and topped with the chocolate-caramel decadence of the crushed SNICKERS® Brand NFL Minis was pure heaven to partake of. Wow your guests at your next football party with how divine it is!
What is your favorite way to watch the game? What types of treats make their way to your tailgate party? I would love to hear your ideas!

This looks so yummy, I am thinking of surprising the cheerleaders with this one at their awards banquet. Thank You!!
Thank you for the recipe! Looks so yummy!
Did you use the entire 1/2 cup syrup iin the cream part, and then additional syrup on top? Or did you split the 1/2 cup between the cream and the top? That was not clear in the directions. Thanks, can’t wait to try this.
Sorry about, Maxine. Thank you for pointing that out. You use the entire ½ cup of caramel syrup in the recipe… and an additional amount for the top. That can vary based on your own taste. I love caramel and could pour another cup on top.
Thanks for the fast response. I thought that was the case, but wanted to be sure. I also love the taste of caramel, so more syrup is definitely better. Appreciate your help.

I’m not much of a snickers fan, but this looks great! Maybe, I will change my mind after trying something like this.
