Did you know that Lee Jeans have been around since 1889? That is incredible! They began by making dungarees and jackets and have expanded to a great line up of fashionable jeans and more! I am loving their newest line of fashionable jeans. One of my favorite things about the Lee Company is their dedication to fighting breast cancer.
National Denim Day
Lee National Denim Day 2012 kicks off Breast Cancer Awareness Month on Monday, October 1st. They began the movement in 1996 and adhere to the philosophy:
ONE DAY, ONE CAUSE, ONE CURE®.
The revolution started as a group of Lee employees realized they had each been touched by cancer in one form or another. One idea led to another and this led to National Denim Day. Basically, a company is asked to “go casual for a cause” and asks the employees for a $5 contribution to go towards the fight against breast cancer. But it is not only for the workplace. There are many ways you can get involved by hosting your very own Denim Day event. The cause has raised more than $80 million over the last 14 years in the fight against breast cancer and unites nearly one million supporters nationwide each year.

I will be proudly wearing my Lee jeans on the Her Highway Breast Cancer Drive to raise funds and bring awareness to the fight.
