Summer is officially upon us and for some, that means it is time for some deep cleaning. Open the windows and doors and get ready to get down and dirty in the dust and grime from the winter months {if you skipped the Spring cleaning that is}. There are so many varying surfaces found inside our homes and I have discovered an entire line of cleaning products that can get the job done. CLR carries everything from Bath & Kitchen Cleaner to Outdoor Furniture Cleaner and Stone Cleaner.

Summer House Cleaning Tips
Using a variety of the CLR cleaning products, you can achieve a healthy, clean home with a little time and and these summer house cleaning tips. These items help your make your cleaning efforts easier and do so using eco-friendly cleaners.
- Before you open your windows, pour a little CLR on a sponge and wipe down your screens. This will make them look like new and allow fresh air to flow through the house.
- While cleaning, do not dump dirty water into drains. If your drain happens to become clogged from hair or dirt, CLR Power Plumber can be used to push the blockage out of the drain.
- For grease stains on concrete, pour kitty litter on freshly spilled oil and let it soak overnight. Sweep up the litter in the morning and oil should be gone. If a stain remains, CLR Grease Magnet can be left to soak and then cleaned with broom to loosen the stain.
- Try to wipe down or squeegee your shower door and tile after each use to further prevent soap scum buildup. Otherwise, CLR Bath & Kitchen Cleaner can be sprayed on the surfaces that are not covered with a synthetic coating and wiped down for a sparkly finish.
- Make sure you never use a scouring powder or any type steel wool on stainless steel as they will scratch the surface. For a great polish and shine, use CLR Metal Clear.
- Wipe finger prints immediately off a stainless steel appliance if possible. CLR Stainless Steel Cleaner leaves a streak-free, shiny protective barrier which repels dust, dirt, grime and even finger prints.
- Wipe down granite countertops with a soft cloth and mild detergent daily. CLR Stone Cleaner not only cleans, but also protects hard surfaces such as granite, marble, corian, and tile.
- Use CLR Outdoor Furniture Cleaner to remove dirt on resin, plastic, wicker, vinyl, canvas and more that are found outside. The UV protectants found in the cleaner help further extend your furniture as it helps keep it from fading and discoloration.

Bath & Kitchen Cleaner
After going through our master bathroom with the CLR Bath & Kitchen Cleaner I was impressed with how sparkly clean the bathroom looked afterwards. The shower door is always an eye sore for me because the soap scum is apparent when you walk in. After a few sprays and a quick wipe, the shower door was actually clear again and looked great. Of course, with a potty training toddler, the toilet is the biggest challenge. Armed with the cleaning spray and a toilet brush, I tackled the toilet bowl and was impressed with how clean and white the finished look was. On to the sinks and bathtub. The product was able to remove a pink ring around the tub from the countless lipstick-dyed bath water my toddler has had to endure. And the best part to me, since I am allergic to a lot of fragrances, was that the smell was not abrasive and I was able to clean the bathroom without suffocating from the odor. This is a huge plus for me since most cleaning agents leave me waiting outdoors until my husband has cleaned and the air is clear.
