Last Thursday I packed my bags and drove to Ft. Worth to attend MannaFest 2012. I must admit though, I had never heard of Mannatech before receiving the invitation to attend. I was part of a group of bloggers brought to the conference to learn about the company and to share as we saw fit. I was unaware of what we would hear about while in attendance but am so glad I was able to partake in the amazing event.

Mannatech Nutritional Supplements

MannaTech Nutritional Supplements With more than 70 patents worldwide, Mannatech Nutritional Supplements are making a difference in lives across the globe. Using Real Food Technology®, Mannatech creates products with natural, plant-based ingredients that continue to be scientifically-proven to benefit the human body. After researching the human cell and discovering the sugar structures surrounding it, scientists sought a solution to helping the body function at its highest level. This search led to the discovery of the beneficial effects of an aloe vera sugar molecule within human cells. After much development, their Ambrotose® products were birthed and the quest for life-changing wellness began.

Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so. ~Genesis 1:11

Children in need

Give to Children in Need

One of my favorite things I learned about Mannatech was their commitment to give to children in need. Knowing that 5 million children under the age of 6 die each year from malnutrition, Mannatech made a commitment to make a difference and lower those numbers. After hearing about Social Entrepreneurship, Sam Caster, Mannatech’s Founder, set out to change the way the company could help reach children globally. The Give for Real℠ program allows you to help a child in need at the same time you are nourishing yourself and your family. Basically, for each Automatic Order purchase made, Mannatech donates nutritional supplements to at-risk children through a nonprofit organization called MannaRelief.

 Company of Provision

Mannatech was birthed out of a word from God that Linda Caster was given for a “Joseph company of provision.” After studying and discovering that lack of proper nutrition is the #1 global killer, both Sam and Linda realized the famine facing the world and wanted to help. The company is built on Biblical standards and works diligently to remain compliant with every aspect of the law. Their ministry is providing to the nutritional needs of children and that is apparent in their business model. As a direct sales company they do offer an income making opportunity, but their focus is to put social entrepreneurship into action at its best. Social Entrepreneurs sell products that trigger social change… and that is what Mannatech aims to do.

You can learn more about Mannatech on both Facebook and Twitter.

    • I am glad we met too! One of the best parts about the weekend was meeting so many great people! And, of course, I like to let everyone know who I was with! Oh, and that last picture was actually after the Worship service on Sunday morning and just before we left. :)
